Thank you everyone who participated in and made our 5th Anniversary Celebration Weekend of The Children's Park such a huge success.

A special thank you to our Mayor Barbara Bass for joining us and our very special donors who made it all possible by underwriting most of the cost associated with the weekend!

We honored our 200 Founding Mothers, who initially contributed toward the purchase of the land for the park, and our many other friends and donors who have provided ongoing support through the years.

A very special and BIG thank you to all the teddy bears who brought their children to our 1st Annual Teddy Bear Picnic. We all had a beary good time!

 

 

7th Annual Walk in the Park - A Day of Remembrance

October 24, 2009 at 10:30 am at The Children's Park

900 S. Broadway Ave in Tyler - Registration Starts at 9:00am

Join us for a special remembrance ceremony to celebrate the lives of children who are no longer with us.  The Walk in the Park is for anyone who has been touched by the loss of a child of any age.

Cost: Admission is free.  T-Shirts are available for a donation through pre-registration only.  You may include your child(ren)'s name(s) on the t-shirts.  Registration form and payment must be received by Wednesday, September 30, 2009, to have your child(ren)'s name(s) included on the t-shirts.  Butterflies will be available at the walk.

We are very excited to share we have just started our fifth Glory Babies Support Group in Leesville, La. Our hope is that God will continue to raise up facilitators around the country to help spread the love of Christ to others who are hurting and grieving from the loss of a baby. 

Please mark your calendars for our 5th Year Celebration of The Children's Park Sept 19-20th. A brunch in honor of our Founding Mothers will be Saturday, 10:30 - 12:00 p.m. A reception in honor of all of our donors will be Saturday evening. Then the weekend will conclude with a Children's Teddy Bear Picnic from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. Children are invited to bring their families, a picnic lunch, their favorite teddy bear and a $1 donation for the park as they learn creative ways to play and use their imagination.
